Career Profile

Dr. Jacob Abu Alabi is a Lecturer in Entrepreneurial Studies Department, Faculty of Management Sciences of National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja. He holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration and MBA from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Alabi, has held various managerial positions in the finance industry, as an associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and a dealing clerk of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. In the quest for knowledge and new trends in the business environment, he went further to acquire an M.Sc. in International Finance and a PhD in Business Administration specializing in International Business from Babcock University, Ogun State, Nigeria. His research interests include Small Business Management, Leadership, Entrepreneurship and International Finance. He is also a peer reviewer for Scopus indexed Journals such as African Development Review, the flagship journal of African development Bank, African Journal of Business and Economic Research and more recently Journal of Entrepreneurship and Public Policy. He has co-authored accredited journal articles, and also a co-researcher on the NOUN Senate research grant and TETFund Institutional Research grand.
