Dr. (Mrs.) Patience Nnenna Okoronkwo is a Lecturer in the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Management Sciences, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). She obtained her PhD in Public Administration with bias in Public Policy and Gender Studies from Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria; MPA, PGDE(Administration) and B.Sc. (Political Science) from University of Jos, Jos Plateau State, Nigeria. She is well published in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
Dr. Okoronkwo’s publications are visible on Google Scholar, Research gate among others. She was one of the Facilitators in the then Centre for Life Long Learning (CLL) NOUN and has continued to facilitate courses in Public Administration, Faculty of Management Sciences, National Open University of Nigeria. She is currently the Secretary, Faculty of Management Science Welfare Committee, Welfare Officer, Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Management Sciences, Accreditation Desk Officer, Department of Public Administration, Desk Officer in-Charge of compilation of M.Sc, MPA and PGD results, Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Management Sciences, Faculty Representative and Associate Member, Olusegun Obasanjo Centre For African Studies (OOCAS)
Dr. Okoronkwo is a member of National Association of Public Administration Academics and Practitioners of Nigeria (NAPAAP), but now Association of Public Administration (MASPAR) and Researchers and Member Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management (MBDFM).

Patience Nnenna Okoronkwo has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several decades in the fields of education and public administration. She began her career as a Training Officer at Jos International Breweries during her NYSC service from 1990 to 1991. Following this, she served as a Senior Government Teacher at Gwom Government Secondary School in 2002 and took on the role of School Administrator and Head Teacher at Britarch School in Abia State from 2005 to 2008.
From 2006 to 2010, she worked as a facilitator in the School of Management Studies at Umudike Study Centre and the Naval Base in Apapa, Lagos. Her academic journey continued as she held various positions at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), starting as an Assistant Lecturer in the Centre for Lifelong Learning from 2011 to 2016. She then progressed through the ranks, becoming a Lecturer II in the Department of Public Administration from 2018 to 2021, and has been a Lecturer I since January 2022.
In addition to her teaching roles, Dr. Okoronkwo has engaged in numerous university administrative responsibilities, including supervising long essays, coordinating departmental programmes, and participating in accreditation committees. Her experience reflects a commitment to academic excellence and development in public administration and education.
